Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf was born from the initiative of a group of friends and golf players who came together to get a Private Club.
The project was carried out using magnificent lands north of the airport that had a typical 18th century country house, today the current Club House.
The family atmosphere is one of its main characteristics and, in spite of its private nature, its facilities can be used in the mornings in working days, upon reservation.

The best professional players in the world have passed through this field and it has been the scene of great sporting events. In fact, the R.C.C.M organizes and celebrates since 1941 the competition called Copa Iberia, which is undoubtedly the oldest and most important amateur team test in Spain.

Vacation Benalmádena recommends you to visit the wonderful promenade along the sea which is more than 1,5 km in length. You will be able to walk through the most famous chiringuitos within the Costa del Sol.
Benalmádena is the home of the largest Buddhist temple in the Western world – Stupa of enlightenment. Here you will find tranquility and spectacular views.
This temple is open every day except Mondays. It can be visited from Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 15.30 to 18.30. On Sunday the schedule varies a little from 10.00 to 14.30 and from 15.30 to 19.00. Admission is free, but to see the exhibition associated with Tibetan Buddhism and Himalayan culture you have to pay, this exhibition is located in the underground part of the temple, the price per person is not expensive, € 2.
Castillo de Colomares is a magical place that you have to see.
Is not a castle, is a monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus for the discovery of America.

The Benalmádena Marina is one of the most important marinas along the Andalusian coastline, due to its stunning design and interior architecture, the number of moorings, the wide range of alternative leisure activities it offers and its outstanding location in the heart of the Costa del Sol.
Parque de la Paloma is one of the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol. Located in the center of Benalmádena, this park has become an authentic green space in the city; an ideal natural enclave for enjoying contact with nature, discovering animals roaming free and taking a walk around its immense green areas.
Paloma Park is the perfect space to enjoy a fantastic day out relaxing as a family, with children, in a couple or as a group of friends. It’s also an excellent place for sports and a runners» favorite, or for simply getting away from the city and disconnecting from stress and the routine.
What’s more, the park is home to many free-roaming animals such as rabbits, chickens, ducks and parrots, amongst others. There are also bars and terraces for making a stop-off, picnic areas, bike hire services and a spectacular lake with ducks.
An Arabic-style structure that is a glowing red on the outside and decorated with glazed tile and bas-reliefs in the exquisite Nazarene tradition. Fountains, a heritage from the Muslim culture, flank the castle, and its exterior commands magnificent views of the Benalmádena beaches. The Town Hall holds exhibitions, conferences, concerts, various cultural events and civil marriage ceremonies (only on Saturdays) in it.
AquaMijas is a majestic waterpark in Fuengirola which offers quantity of great slides and activities for all the family. It has lots of deck chairs where you can relax and sunbathe, changing rooms and toilets, a picnic area, restaurants and bar. You will find too a lovely children’s area where children of up to five years of age will be able to splash around, use the slides and have lots of fun.
There are six slides, two lazu river style rides where you go down slides on floats, a Jacuzzi, a wave pool and a large pool area where you can swim and also enjoyactivities such as aqua areobics and Zumba. The park is relatively small, so is perfect for a famlily as it is manageabe and if you set up camp near to the kids areas you can watch the children enjoying while you relax.
Aqua Mijas is open from April to September and you can spend the whole day there. You can bring your own lunch, just making sure you don’t have any glass bottles.
How much does it cost?
Ticket prices are 25€ for adults and kids over 12 years old, 19€ for kids 8-12 years old, 14€ for children from 3 to 7 and under 3 are free. There are family tickets available which are perfect for families with more tan one child. Discover more and book online for discounts.
Thre are floats availables to hire and avoid the queues, but if you’re visitng at off-season then may not be necessary, so you can go and check out the queues before you hire them.
ADVENTURE & HIKING
Benalmádena is a great place to be adventurous and get that adrenaline flowing! In the summer months, the Mediterranean can be your playground, with a whole host of exciting watersports to try.
